How to Recruit CIOs More Successfully Written by Bjorn Ovar Johansson In the current complex and fast-moving digital world, it is often challenging to recruit CIOs. Having an experienced interim CIO onboard supporting the process of hiring a permanent CIO can significantly reduce the risk during (the interim CIO is steading and controlling the ship) and after. Considering the value-add, avoiding a CIO ‘gap’, and minimising the risk for hiring a, on paper, ‘great’, CIO who then leaves pre-maturely, could make this concept an investment worth considering. The purpose of this article is to elaborate on this approach.
